Hello Cavers
We are doing something different in March. We will be taken on a tour underground, below the streets of Cape Town CBD. Back in the days of the Dutch, Cape Town city centre consisted of a number of canals, or 'Grachts' (Buitengracht, Heerengracht streets), which served the purpose of funneling mountain water from the slopes of table mountain through the city and into the ocean. Over time these canals were covered and tarred roads were laid, leaving the canals structurally in place. This is our mission.
The tour takes approximately 3 hours.
We have a limited amount of spaces, 25 to be exact, so this is open to members at first, there after friends of members will be allowed to join if we don't make up the full 25.
RSVP to Charl if you are going to come before the 23 of February. Those who RSVP will receive further information closer to the time.
*Note: This is a closed meet for members of the CPSS
