Caves
There are hundreds of caves situated throughout the Western Cape. They range from tiny holes & squeezes to large caverns and passages. Situated throughout Kalk Bay, Table Mountain, De Hoop, Oudtshoorn and around the coast.
The caves range from easy horizontal systems to vast, complicated and dangerous mixed horizontal & vertical systems, some with deep pits and one with close to 5 kilometers of measured passageway.
You will find a list of all the caves that the club is aware of and has surveyed &explored, the caves are only listed with an exception to several that will have specific information about the cave and its location.
The club does not make the locations of all the caves public knowledge, this is to help preserve and safe guard the majority of the still wild and unspoilt cave systems, also many of the caves are quite dangerous or sensitive.
