Please note that the November meet will take place on the 9th November 2011, It will be something a little different, trip to visit the tin mines near Philadelphia.
Directions are included in the email that was sent to members.
Bring your SRT gear if you have, although not necessary.
Ron will be leading the meet. Please contact him via phone to confirm your attendance on 021 785-5818 or 084 679-4240.
Travel arrangements can then also be made.

Dear Members
AGM 2011:
Please note that the Annual General Meeting shall take place on the 15th November 2011 @ 20:00 at the Stone Cottages, Kirstenbosch.
Please find the minutes from 2010 AGM as well as the agenda for the 2011 AGM attached in the email that was sent to members. The chairman's report and the treasurers report will be circulated prior to the AGM.
Nomination of office-bearers
Please send your nominations for office-bearers, the current committee requires nominations for:
1) Chairman
2) Vice-president
3) Treasurer
4) Secretary
5) Committee members
Once all nominations have been recieved, the individuals shall be contacted and confirmation requested if they are prepared to stand as a candidate. The candidates will be declared prior to the AGM and at the nominated candidates shall be voted into office at the AGM.
If there are insufficient written nominations, the Chairman shall call for nominations from the floor to fill the remaining vacancies.

Dear Members
The clubs annual dinner will be held on the 22nd October 2011.
The cost per person is R100, partners are also welcome, this will cover the meal for the evening. There is a cash bar available for drinks, coffee/tea, alternatively you are welcome to bring your own choice of wine as there is no corkage cost. The meal that will be served is a set menu that consists of a Starter, Main Course and Dessert. Members have a choice for their main meal and vegetarians can also be catered for.
Confirmation:
Please indicate if you and/or partner will be attending by replying to the email that was sent to members, as well as your/partners choice of main meal or vegetarian requirements so that we may inform the kitchen staff.
Payments
Payments can be made directly to the CPSS account (Preferable). Please use "Initial & Surname " as a reference when making the payment.
Alternative payment methods can be directed to the club treasurer.

Please note that the October caving meet will take place on the 2nd October 2011, It will be a caving trip to Kalk Bay to visit and explore:
- Ystervark Cave
- Vier Grotte
- Commemmoration Hall
- Johalvin Cave
- Hyrax
Please note: This is a long walk to the caves with lots of uphill, please bring sufficient water, food / snacks, headlamps / etc.
Ron will be leading the meet. Please contact him via phone to confirm your attendance.

Please note that the September caving meet will take place on the 11th September 2011, It will be a caving trip to Kalk Bay to Visit Ystervark Cave and several other caves in that area. Ron and Jayne will be leading the meet.

Dear Members
The club is looking for a new person to take on the role of tackle officer for the clubs gear. Alan Butcher has kindly been the Tackle office for most of his time during the support of CPSS (about 25 years)
The person need to have a fair amount of space and needs to be fairly centrally located so that the gear can be accessed when needed for a meet or for rescue call outs.
The gear would consist of Rope, Ladders, cables, Helmets, head lamps, biners & slings and some ascenders and descenders.
Please let the committee know if you would be interested.

Hi All
The next upcoming meet will be on Sunday, 7th August 2011.
Come and enjoy a day outdoors. There are 6 small caves that are known of near the sea , south of Steenbras River mouth, but there may be more.
These are small and not necessarily requiring a helmet, but come and see.
Please contact Ron Zeeman if you will be attending.
Once some numbers have been confirmed, arrangements on where to meet can be decided and confirmed.
