Hi All

The intention is to look at Bats Cave, Gaints Cave, Wynberg Cave and the intervening smaller caves. Work on breaking through the 3-4 meter gap will continue.

A vehicle will be going up on Saturday morning and coming down on Sunday, so the option of transporting your gear to the hut is available if you are staying overnight. We will walking up on Saturday morning. The hut fees are R 50 per night. If you intend to attend the meet or stay over, please contact Steve Craven.

The next club meet will be on the 1st & 2nd May 2010 (Saturday to Sunday).
We will be visiting and exploring several caves on Table Mountain and also work on the 3 meter gap.
Further details and leaders will be confirmed, which will include the programme of the caves for the weekend.

The Mountain club hut has been booked.

Further updates have been done to the CPSS site.

The About Us section has been updated and looks a lot better.

An basic FAQ section has been added.

The calendar has been updated with event till September 2010.

Don’t forget to have a look at whats on the program, members will be sent details sooner to the event. Visitors are welcome to enquire about the events.

A big thanks to those that attended the slide show, there where interesting combination’s of different food types and some very interesting slides (once i figured out how the pre-digital era slide projector worked).

There where some vary interesting pictures of caves that we could and could not identify and some that made you want to go and find them. The slides varied from Kalk Bay caves to De Hoop, Cango II & III, Table Mountain, etc

Not to mention slides of some very dirty cavers. All in all, it was a laugh a minute.

Just a quick update on the progress of the site.

We are looking at integrating the clubs logo shortly and adding some FAQ’s about caving & caving equipment.

We would like as many caving slides as possible so please bring along any you have.
This will be a  SLIDE  evening – we plan to have a digital evening later in the year.
Please bring a dish of something for the communal table.

The website has been updated with information about forthcoming meets and socials, as well as some contact information.

We will be looking at adding information about joining the club, how to attend a meet, meet reports and some further information about caves and caving in the Western Cape.

The next club social will be on the 20th April 2010 (Tuesday).

We will be viewing slides of various members caving trips as well as various slides on caves.

Time to be confirmed. Venue will be the Stone Cottages.
